Alexis Koerner

MSW, LCSW

I am Alexis Koerner, a licensed psychotherapist in Philly. I use a person-centered, warm and genuine approach. Therapy sessions with me will always be free from judgement and a collaborative experience specific to your needs.

Originally from Central Jersey, I started my career at Rider University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology and Minors in Social Work and Gender and Sexuality Studies. I went on to earn my Master’s of Social Work degree from Rutgers University and obtained my professional license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

I have experience working in residential, PHP and outpatient facilities specializing in eating disorders, substance use, and co-occurring mental health and trauma. Therapy modalities that I frequently utilize in my holistic practice involve DBT, CBT, Gestalt, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.

As a Latina woman, I am passionate about providing culturally affirming and inclusive care for Black, Indigenous and People of Color communities (BIPOC). My practice will always be a safe place for anyone in the LGBTQIA+ communities or from any marginalized identity.

Outside of my practice, I find great joy in my life through music, and spending time with my partner, and with my dog, Deja.
